Pacearth Wood Gymnastics Rings Review

Gymnastics rings are what you buy when you’re looking to progress from intermediate to advanced in calisthenics. They make dips, pull ups, nearly every exercise more difficult, and therefore, more effective. We’ve all seen how Olympic gymnasts look. Clearly there’s something to be said for a ring centered calisthenics workout.

The Pacearth Wood Gymnastics Rings are Amazon’s Choice for gymnastics rings. Let’s see if they’re the right choice for those looking to upgrade their calisthenics home gym.

The Good:

These rings are a breeze to set up, and straight out of the box you notice the solid wood construction and sturdy straps. The straps are quite long at 15’, which is good for difficult mounting situations and allows for a lot of flexibility in your rings set up. There’s also a patch of velcro so the excess doesn’t swing around and get in your way. The included grip tape adds a lot of value, and makes longer workouts and more difficult exercises more doable.

Overall, these rings proved to be sturdy, reliable, and well made.

The Bad:

These are old school Gymnastics rings, with a very simple locking mechanism. It works well, but it might be worth looking at other rings to see if there is a particular style you prefer. Also, the grip tape slipped a bit and there were a few wood burs on the rings, but after a quick sand, they were great.

Recommended?

These are sturdy rings with a lot of adjustability. For anyone looking to buy and affordable set of gymnastics rings, the Pacearth Rings are a great choice.
